Privacy Policy

What We Collect
When you use Marqlens, we collect the minimum data needed to provide the service:
- Account info — your email address and name (via Google OAuth). We never see your Google password.
- Conversation history — questions you ask and the AI responses, stored so you can revisit them. You can delete these at any time.
- Usage data — how many questions you've asked (to enforce the free tier limit).
- Payment info — if you subscribe to Pro, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
We do not collect browsing history, location data, contacts, or any data beyond what's listed above.
How We Use It
- To provide the service — answering your market questions and showing you dashboards.
- To save your conversation history so you can reference it later.
- To enforce the free question limit and manage Pro subscriptions.
- To send transactional emails (payment receipts, subscription changes). We do not send marketing emails.
Third Parties
Marqlens integrates with the following third-party services:
- Anthropic Claude — your questions are sent to Anthropic's API to generate analysis. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing. We do not send your name or email to Anthropic — only the question text.
- Yahoo Finance (via yfinance) — market data is fetched from Yahoo Finance. No personal data is sent to Yahoo Finance.
- Supabase — your account info and conversation history are stored in Supabase (EU/US servers). Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
- Stripe — handles all payment processing. We never see your card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.
- Google OAuth — used for sign-in. We receive your email and display name. We do not access any other Google data.
- Render — our hosting provider. Server logs may contain IP addresses and request data, retained for 30 days.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — email us and we'll send you everything we hold.
- Delete your conversations — use the delete button in the sidebar, or email us to wipe everything.
- Delete your account — email support@marqlens.com and we'll remove all your data within 7 days.
- Export your data — email us and we'll provide a JSON export of your conversations.
- Opt out of analytics — we use minimal usage counters, not ad-tracking analytics. There's nothing meaningful to opt out of.
Security
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest in Supabase. We use short-lived session cookies and do not store passwords (we use Google OAuth). Access to the database is restricted to the application server using a service-role key.
If you discover a security vulnerability, please email support@marqlens.com rather than disclosing it publicly.
